Hi! Welcome to my home page. This is just a short idea of who I am,
with some pictures and links related to my life.
I am now living in the San Francisco Bay Area, but
I grew up in
Santa Barbara,
CA with my parents and younger sister.
Three of my friends and I bought a
house in
Sunnyvale, CA, which we call
Alpine Butterfly Lodge.
I am currently working at
Acclarent, Inc. as a Sr. Quality Engineer in product development.
Please see my
resume
to learn more about my previous experience.
I graduated in May 1998 from
Harvey
Mudd College, one of the
Claremont Colleges. I received a Bachelor of Science degree in
General Engineering. Being a female engineer, I am proud to be a
member of the
Society of Women Engineers.
I passed the
Fundamentals of Engineering Exam (FE) which makes me an
official Engineer-In-Training (EIT), the first step to becoming
a Professional Engineer.
I have also passed the Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) exam, and am a member of the American Society for Quality.
I went to
Santa Barbara High
School.
One of my interests is dancing.
Unfortunately, I haven't been getting out as much as I'd like.
I have taken ballroom and latin dance classes, learned country dances,
and victorian dances. I sometimes
go to the
Gaskell Balls. I've also been introduced to contact improvisation
and blues dancing.
Another interest I have been more active in is rock climbing.
I have been going to
Planet Granite in Santa Clara/ Sunnyvale
since September 1999. I have learned how to lead climb and set
anchors, but I haven't been climbing much outdoors. PG offers
yoga,
so I've been doing some yoga since June 2006.
I've also been doing some
CrossFit there
since January 2008.
I took aerial rope and aerial silk/tissue classes at
Trapeze Arts in Oakland May 2006 to March 2007.
I went to an aerial arts class at AcroSports September-December 2008.
I took and aerial conditioning class Fall 2010 at Circus Center, and a rope class in Fall 2011.
Although I have great fun, I doubt I will ever be good enough to run off and join the circus!
I took some dance-climb fusion workshops in 2007 from
AscenDance Project, which is really fun, and just my sort of thing.
